The finale of the first Grand Slam tournament of the year 2010 is about to be finished and the final offers a huge value for betting.
Roger Federer has played consistent tennis so far. His only bigger troubes were against Russian Nikolay Davydenko, who against he was losing a set and break. Federer revealed his mental strength and came back.
Andy Murray has been also consistent. His form has been up. He does no many mistakes, his serve is working well what is good since his second serve brought many times troubles for him. Overall the both players have shown relaxed and good tennis so far.
Federer has the edge, what comes to the experience in Grand Slam finals but I cannot see any other edges for him. Murray is bad match-up for Federer. Murray holds his mentality and plays the important points well. He moves well on the court, has a good return game but is also able to hit winners. This is problematic for Federer because he has no one really strong part in his game. He is one of the best players ever but his stregths are the angles and hit selection he is able to use. If his opponent is able to push him a bit more, what is very hard, starts Federer to do higher amount unforced errors than usually. Murray can push Federer and the gameintelligence of Murray is high. I think he can easily chance his gameplan during the game what is always hard for the opponent.
Both players seem to have high self confidence and near their best form. The head to head record is 7-4 for the benefit of Murray. It tells pretty much the story. He is hard opponent for Federer to play against but both have chances to win the game. I hope it will be a great match. Small differences act a great role in the end result and Murray has proved that when the match has been equal, he has been able to play the important points better against Federer since when Federer has won the sets are 9-1 for his benefit but when Murray has won Federer, the six of these meetings have ended in three sets. So I think the longer the match goes the better are the chances of Murray but if it is Federer's day he takes the match without losing a set or one set at maximum. Anyway they are equal against each others so 2.47 definitely represents some big value.

Washington Wizards - Miami Heat

Wizards are at the moment hot team even they are only 2-1 SU in their last two matches. After Arenas was finally taken away from the game because of his gun episode the team has played clearly better. The zone defense is stronger, the team has grown more together and they have still something to play for because even their overall record is bad, 14-27, they are still in the play-off fighting, thanks for the weak quality of Eastern Confrence. Wizards have easy schedule at the moment, this is their fourth home match in row. Heat is expected to bounce back after their big loss in Charlotte but the momentum what Wizards have found should roll on for some time especially at home.

Marin Cilic - Stanislas Wawrinka

The same players met in Chennai final a bit over week ago. Cilic was better player in a tight match what Cilic dominated slightly. The earlier meetings were 4-0 for Wawrinka but since the last was one and half years ago it does not matter much because Cilic has had some progress in his game and he is still only 21 years old.
Anyway if we watch their history the odds seems right but when we watch closer their Australian Open matches, I start to like Wawrinka more. Wawrinka has had two good performances, good serving and returning without any problems. Cilic won Wawrinka relatively easy but against 17 years old, probably future top tennis player, Bernard Tomic and almost lost the match. All the kudos for Tomic, it was a great match by him but also Cilic made many errors what a player in his best form will not do. The game against Tomic was finished 2am. I think it was different experience for the body and recovery from such match might be harder because you are not used to play at that time. Also the match of today is evening match but it should start a way earlier, approximately 17:00-19:00pm depending how the previous matches on the court are played.
Anyway the value must be on Wawrinka because neither have no big advantage when they play against each others and now Wawrinka seems to be in good form and Cilic in not so good form.

Tomas Berdych - Evgeny Korolev

Neither player had no troubles on the first round. Berdych won injury troubled Haase and Korolev Brands. At the start of the season Berdych has a bit more comvincing results and is definitely right favourite to the match against erratic Korolev but Berdych is not mr. stability himself either so making him to be over 75% favourite to the match, where his opponent's gamestyle suits to the court and who has great potential to be dangerous, is absurd. The movement of Berdych has been lately not so good as it was few years ago so Korolev with his hard hits on his good day has decent chances to take the match.

Gulbis suits with his gamestyle to the faster courts and Monaco and his gamestyle give less convincing results on the surfaces as Australian Open is. The higher odds are given because Gulbis have no stability in his results but Grand Slam level tournament should get all his attention. The keys to win the match are in the hands of Gulbis. If he is concentrated and can hit his heavy groundstrokes near lines Monaco has no much left to say.

The only reason why Grizzlies are smaller favourite than they should be is well known opponent against Grizzlies, which are used to know so far during the last seasons lesser tough team.

Spurs are old team and their coach has a tradition to save the energy of his best players in hard schedule and this is 4/5 situation for the team. Grizzlies has been during the season stronger than many believed and if Spurs are taking this as a letdown match as the signs promise the match should be in the hands of Grizzlies.
